Investor places their funds in an escrow. After that, EB-5 investor is eligible to submit their I-526 Application for Investor Visa Status to the USCIS.
Under the regulations, an investor who is approved for the EB-5 immigrant visa receives a “conditional” green card for all family members.

OM Power 1 LLC holds geothermal leases on private property near Klamath Falls, Oregon (42 deg 10’30” N ~ 121 deg 37’5″ W) and has already obtained the required drilling permits, environmental permits, access permits and use permits. The electricity which will be generated has already been contracted in a Power Purchase Agreement, (PPA) with PacifiCorp Power Company in Oregon for 15 years.
It is widely recognized that the United States must reduce its dependence on oil and other fossil fuels. Hydro-power depends on the flow of rivers; wind turbines depend on the movement of air; and solar depends on the availability of clear sunlight. Geothermal, although somewhat more expensive to locate and develop, is a reliable 24 hour per day 7 day per week electricity producer. Corporations have increased their purchases of green energy 25-fold since 2001. More and more states, including Oregon, are requiring utilities that provide electricity within their borders to buy more green (renewable) electricity.
Three wells are planned for the operation. Two wells provide hot brine for the turbine which turns the generator to generate electricity. The third well will be used to re-inject the brine back into the earth. A power plant has been designed and the location determined to transform the heat in the geothermal brine into electricity. The facility will be located in the immediate proximity of existing PacifiCorp electrical lines which have sufficient capacity to receive the electricity; a connection substation has also been designed and approved.
One well has been drilled to 3,775 feet and provides ample evidence of the existence of geothermal energy. This well must be completed to a depth of up to 4,500 feet and flow tests will be completed. There are other geothermal projects underway in the general vicinity and the area has long been recognized as being geothermally active; Klamath Falls has been using geothermal heat for heating the city since before 1900. The funds loaned to OM Power will be used for drilling the remaining two wells and toward power plant construction. A 30-day test operation will be conducted prior to going on-line permanently.
